Fukushima Prefectural Futaba Future High School Visits the Japanese Mission

On March 19, twelve second-year students from Fukushima Prefectural Futaba Future High School visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations and delivered a presentation on the theme of “How to connect groups with differing perceptions and the kinds of innovation that can emerge from such connections.”
 

Ambassador UMETSU provided feedback on the importance of continuing dialogue, which was mentioned in their presentation. He also expressed his encouragement and expectations for the students’ future endeavors.

In addition, Counsellor MOTOGISHI delivered briefing on diplomacy at the United Nations and career. The students posed a wide range of questions, leading to a lively exchange of views that further deepened their understanding of the role of diplomacy in the international community.
