Ambassador Kawamura Welcomes Futaba Future High School

On March 4th, twelve students from Futaba Future High School paid a visit to Ambassador Kawamura, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Mission of Japan.
Having experienced the Great East Japan earthquake firsthand, the students explained the purpose of their visit to New York, which was to share their efforts on Fukushima revitalization and to discuss what they could do as the next generation.
Ambassador Kawamura, who worked at the New York Consulate General of Japan at the time of the earthquake, shared the warm support shown by many citizens of New York through articles that were published by local newspapers.
