On March 24, eight award-winning junior and senior high school students on a national speech/essay contest visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the UN through the Oku/Inoue Commemorative Youth UN Visit program.

Ambassador Yoshikawa introduced his work at the Mission and Japan’s contribution to the international community, shared his memories with Ambassador Oku and Secretary Inoue, and expressed his hope that their stay in New York would be a meaningful one. Counsellor Nishimaki then outlined the activities and organization of the Mission while asking the students of their impressions with the UN.
