Lecture to Fukuoka Prefectural Meizen High School Students by Counsellor Hisao Nishimaki

On March 23rd, 20 students from Fukuoka Prefectural Meizen High School visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations, and received a lecture by Counsellor Hisao Nishimaki.

As opening remarks, Counsellor Nishimaki gave a brief explanation on the United Nations and the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations. He then gave an introduction on the role of its primary organs while viewing the video of the third committee. Furthermore, he gave a detailed explanation on human rights, peace, safety and development in terms of the UN by raising specific examples. He also made some remarks on the abduction issue.

After Counsellor Nishimaki answered some questions by students, he concluded his lecture by giving advice to the students and stressing the importance of seeing things multilaterally.
