       On August 18th, twenty students from Kwansei Gakuin University visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations to receive a lecture by Minister Takahashi.

       Minister Takahashi started his lecture by giving a brief self-introduction. He moved on to explaining the "Post-2015 Agenda", the major subject requested by the students. He discussed the background to the MDGs, with reference to his actual experiences in debates and multilateral negotiations. He also talked about the current movement in adopting the Post-2015 Agenda. As concluding remarks, he stressed the importance of providing objective, concrete data in discussing issues.

       Students actively asked questions regarding in adopting the Post-2015 Agenda and other major issues.
