On March 27th, eighteen students from Kumon International School visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations to receive a lecture by Secretary Yusuke Nakanishi.
At the outset, he explained about the overall work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He then had lively interactions with the students, explaining the origins and its activities, as well as the engagement of Japan in the UN through interactive discussion. As closing remarks he presented his view on the skills required to work in an international setting.
Interactive discussions took place through the entire lecture, and the students proactively contributed to the discussions. Students were also active in raising questions at the end of the lecture. |
