Events

   On November 4, Ambassador Yoshikawa hosted a reception at the Permanent Mission of Japan around the occasion of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) Advisory Group meeting in New York.

   Attendees included Under-Secretary-General Ms. Valerie Amos, who is a member of Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC), CERF Advisory Group Chairwoman Ms. Catherine Walker, Ms. Yukie Osa, Professor of Rikkyo University and the President of Association for Aid and Relief, Japan, and a number of OCHA/CERF staff and Mission-based Advisory Group members. All attendees expressed their deep gratitude to the Permanent Mission of Japan for creating the opportunity to hold an informal dialogue apart from the more formal sessions of the CERF Advisory Group.
