Briefing to Nanzan University Students by Counsellor Mr. Mondo Yamamoto

On August 20th, twenty-seven students from Nanzan University, located in Nagoya, Japan, visited the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations to receive a briefing by Counsellor Mr. Mondo Yamamoto.
During the briefing, Counsellor Mr. Yamamoto explained the decision process of the United Nations’ budget and the scale of assessments of each country. He also touched on his work at the Japanese Mission. The Counsellor concluded the briefing by explaining the hiring system of the UN, and advised the students on what they should keep in mind when applying to work for international organizations like the UN.
The students showed great attentiveness and interest as they listened to Counsellor Mr. Yamamoto’s briefing and asked a variety of questions during the Q&A session. |
