Ceremony for the Presentation of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to the Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts

On November 4th, a Ceremony for the Presentation of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to the Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts was held at the residence of Ambassador Bessho.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Bessho highlighted the distinguished contributions of the Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts and, with words of congratulations, presented Ms. Yukako Tarumi with the Foreign Minister’s Commendation.

Also, the Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts gave a beautiful medley concert including Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” for the guests, and the entire ceremony was conducted in a peaceful and joyous manner.

The Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts has been spreading a message of love and world peace through the universal language of music around the world. It also has been contributing to the relationship between the United Nations and Japan by performing at the Peace Bell Ceremony for the past 19 years since 1998.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Cristina Gallach, Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information and Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, as well as a number of UN officials and guests who have close connections with Tarumi Violin Children’s Foundation for the Arts.
